Equal Playing Field took football to Mount Kilimanjaro to make a statement about women’s place in sport. The work continued after the descent, creating opportunities for girls to experience the game themselves.

Equal Playing Field is a grassroots initiative challenging gender inequality in sport and supporting opportunities for women and girls.

Its record-breaking football match on Kilimanjaro put that mission in the spotlight. PARK sponsored the effort, supporting a team determined to show what women could do—and challenge expectations about where they belonged.

BRINGING THE OPPORTUNITY TO OTHERS.
After descending the mountain, the teams ran football clinics for girls facing barriers to sport in South Africa. PARK supplied the balls needed for those sessions.

The match drew attention. The clinics gave girls a chance to take part.
